BMW DesignworksUSA to revamp Singapore Airlines

BMW DesignworksUSA has been set the task of developing Singapore Airlines' new First Class seats and cabin interior. Given the fast-paced improvement in the quality of premium Asian air travel – Emirates and Cathay Pacific are two examples – Singapore Airlines has decided to revamp its First Class area while upgrading its in-flight entertainment system. The chief redesign will be limited to its First and Business Class sections as those are the main sources of revenue but economy passengers will see upgraded headrests and seating.

Rain doesn't dampen spirits at Orphan Car Show

With rain falling as the show cars arrived, organizers worried that moving the 15th-annual Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show from its original June weekend to late September wasn't going to work out after all. It was rescheduled last year after heavy rain in June and participants voted to make the change permanent. Infiniti plans to add new flagship sedan, expand crossovers

Nissan Motor Co.'s premium Infiniti marque plans to add a new top-tier halo nameplate above its Q70 flagship sedan and expand its crossover offerings to build the brand and fuel sales, President Johan de Nysschen said. The roll out is part of Infiniti's drive to cover 90 percent of all global premium segments by the end of the decade, compared to just under 60 percent today, de Nysschen said. De Nysschen also floated a bold new global sales target of 600,000 units by around 2020, from just 170,000 last year.
